Department of Philosophy

In Konstanz, you can study practical and theoretical philosophy at one of Germany’s eleven excellence universities. Here, these two branches of philosophy work closely together, even collaborating on topics and areas of study. In our department, you’ll also find a focus on the more contemporary issues in philosophy.

The international faculty offers close contact between you and the teaching staff. As a result, it not only prepares you well for further graduate study, but also qualifies you for a career outside the university.
